Festival POS — Privacy Policy

Festival POS ("the app") is a point-of-sale tool used by churches and organizations to take food orders at festivals and events. This policy explains what information the app collects and how it is used.

Information we collect

• Account information. When a staff member creates an account, we collect their email address and a password (passwords are stored securely by our authentication provider, not by us).
• Organization information. The name of the church/festival and its menu, modifier options, stations, and settings that staff enter.
• Order information. Orders created by staff or by customers through the online ordering page, including item selections, totals, and a customer name or first name that the customer types so their order can be called out. We do not collect or process credit-card or payment-card data; payment is handled in person (cash at the window).
• Device settings. Local printer IP addresses and display preferences are stored on the device only.

How we use information

• To operate the point-of-sale: displaying menus, routing orders to kitchen and pickup, printing receipts and tickets, and showing sales reports to the organization's own staff.
• To authenticate staff and keep each organization's data separate and private from other organizations.

How information is stored

Data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication), operated by Google Cloud. Each organization's data is access-controlled so that only that organization's signed-in staff can read or write it.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising. Data is processed only by the infrastructure providers needed to run the app (Google Firebase).

Data retention and deletion

Staff can delete their account at any time from within the app (Home → Account → Delete my account), which removes their login and their membership in the organization. Organizations may request deletion of their data by contacting us at the email below.

Children's privacy

The app is intended for use by an organization's staff and adult volunteers to operate a food stand. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
